Bangalore International Centre had in association with Takashashila Institution had arranged a Panel discussion on “Two Years of the Modi Government” on Friday, 17th June, 2016 at 6.30 PM. Mr. Nitin Pai Chaired and moderated the discussion. The panellists were The panelists are Ashok Malik, author and commentator, visiting from New Delhi, Prof. Charan Singh from IIM, Bangalore and Dr. Narendar Pani, Professor, NIAS.
The panel discussed about the Two years of Modi Government. The panel took stock of the performance of the Narendra Modi government over its first two years, and took a stab at what to expect from the next three years.
The panel expressed that though the Modi Government has taken some path-breaking developmental steps, it is only a beginning and not enough. The panel felt that Modi has got a full mandate and he should take more bold steps to move forward along with other developing nations like China, in the balance three years of his tenure.
The Q & A session started from the beginning itself and was indicative of the difference of opinion on the quantum of progress during the first two years of the Modi government.
