Bangalore International Centre had arranged a talk on “The Implications of the Religious Census Results” by Prof. K S James, Acting Director and Professor, Population Research Centre, Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC) on Wednesday, 23rd December, 2015 at 6.30 PM. Dr. Sandeep Shastri, Pro Vice Chancellor, Jain University and Director, Centre for Research in Social Science and Education chaired and moderated the discussion.
Prof. James through his power point presentation explained about the population growth rates among various religions all over the world. He also brought out the statistics of population growth of various religions in India viz., Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs etc. He pleaded that one need not worry about the differential growth rate of one or the other religion as it will not affect any religion or sect.
The Q & A session, moderated by Prof. Sandeep Shastri, was interesting.
