Screening of Immigration Movies - "Fatima"

Bangalore International Centre had arranged the screening of a French feature film under Immigration Series - “Fatima” on Wednesday, 23rd August, 2017 at 6.00 PM at its auditorium.

This film was directed by Philippe Faucon. This is a story of a 44-year-old divorced North African womanFatima raising two teenage girls in Lyon. Based on a real-life memoir, “Fatima” was described by the New York Times as a “small, perfect film (that) captures the conflicts and tensions of the immigrant experience in France, where assimilation in the best of circumstances isn’t easy.”
“Fatima” is a moving tale of the many trials and tribulations of immigration, loneliness and parenthood.
The Screening was well-attended.
